Christopher Mbanefo describes himself as a humble seeker of wisdom and peace, while embarking on an intergalactic space trip as a resident of a beautiful blue planet in orbit round a star we fondly know as our sun. He uses his multicultural background to build bridges and brings innovation to life by recognizing and exploring alternative perspectives to find solutions that truly benefit the common good in the spirit of Ubuntu.
As an innovator and entrepreneur, he combines more than 35 years in multidisciplinary activities. An alumnus with multiple degrees from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and graduate degree from The Ohio State University, he is a highly qualified aerospace engineer and professional pilot, having worked with various world-class OEMs in aircraft design and flight testing in Europe and the US. While flying professionally with airlines, he expanded into leading-edge programs in Europe, US and Africa in aviation, IT/Telecom, and renewable energy. As a passionate thought leader of complex programs that identify and combine international teams with unique skill sets to achieve new solutions that shift the paradigm, he also consults different organizations and government bodies in areas of applied science, sustainability, ethics, and climate change.
He is the Founder and CEO of the award-winning Swiss aviation design firm YASAVA Solutions SA with numerous design patents. He is also the Founder and CEO of OXÏ-ZEN Solutions LLC, which is currently developing blockchain-powered solutions for science-based carbon accounting with unique peer to peer transactions, based on a globally applied metric using the latest scientific tools, satellite data, and artificial intelligence for both terrestrial and marine carbon sinks. The net result is the creation of new transparent, sustainable eco-systems and financial models that empower disenfranchised members of society by leveraging carbon sequestration through nature-based carbon sinks.
Christopher is an international speaker and a full member of the Club of Rome. He currently lives in Switzerland and is a father of four.
